How do I convert a bank statement for Tally (Prime)?
Convert your PDF statement and choose Export → Tally to download a Tally XML file, then import it in TallyPrime under Gateway of Tally → Import → Vouchers — every transaction posts as a voucher, with no manual entry.
StatementFlow exports a ready-to-import Tally XML file directly — no third-party import utility in between. Upload your PDF or scanned statement, review the table, then choose Export → Tally. The download is a Tally XML file that TallyPrime reads as accounting vouchers.
To bring it in: in TallyPrime open Gateway of Tally → Import → Vouchers (in the older Tally.ERP 9 it's Gateway of Tally → Import Data → Vouchers) and select the XML. Each statement line posts as a Receipt (money in) or Payment (money out) against your bank ledger, with the balancing entry parked in Suspense A/c for you to reclassify. See the full Tally Prime import walkthrough for the step-by-step.
Every export is reconciled against the running balance first, so the figures you post into Tally tie out. Prefer a spreadsheet instead? The same conversion also exports to Excel and CSV, and imports into QuickBooks and Zoho Books.
