What is a QBO file and why do I need one for QuickBooks?
A .qbo file is QuickBooks' Web Connect format — a structured bank-statement file QuickBooks imports and reconciles automatically, instead of you typing transactions by hand.
QBO (Web Connect) is QuickBooks' version of the OFX banking standard. When your bank doesn't offer a direct feed, a .qbo file is the cleanest way to get transactions in: QuickBooks reads the dates, amounts, and descriptions and lines them up for review.
StatementFlow generates the .qbo from any statement — including scans and photos — with the correct structure and an institution ID so QuickBooks accepts it.
