How do I convert a password-protected bank statement PDF?
Remove the password first — open the PDF with the password, re-save or print it to a new PDF without encryption, then upload that copy and convert as normal.
Banks often email statements locked with a password (your date of birth or last digits of your account). An encrypted file can't be read until it's unlocked, so unlock it once and save a clean copy:
On Windows/Mac, open the PDF in your browser or Preview/Adobe with the password, then Print → Save as PDF (or File → Export) to write a new, unencrypted file. On a phone, opening it in the Files app and re-sharing as a PDF usually does the same.
Upload that unlocked copy to StatementFlow and it converts like any other statement. The file is processed in memory and deleted immediately — we never keep it or the password.
