StatementFlow

My bank statement PDF won't convert — what should I check?

Most failures come from an encrypted (password-protected) file, an unusually large file, or a very low-resolution scan. Unlock it, split it under the page cap, or re-scan more clearly, then try again.

If nothing happens or you get an error, run through these in order:

Is it password-protected? Unlock it first — see converting a password-protected PDF.

Is it very long? A single upload is capped at 50 pages to keep processing fast and costs sane. Split a year-end statement into quarters and convert each.

Is the scan readable? If the text is too faint or skewed for a human to read easily, re-scan at 200–300 DPI. Is it the right type? We accept PDF, PNG, JPG, and WebP — a Word doc or spreadsheet won't upload.

Still stuck? The AI handles unusual layouts and foreign banks well, so it's usually one of the above. Try a single clear page first to confirm the file itself is the issue.
